Introduction to Sri Lankan Authentic Lamprise
Sri Lankan authentic lamprise is a traditional delicacy that hails from the Dutch Burgher community. Known for its rich flavours and intricate preparation, it has become a beloved part of Sri Lankan culinary heritage.
Ingredients and Preparation
The lamprise typically includes a variety of spiced meats such as chicken, beef, and pork, combined with frikkadels (meatballs), eggplant, and a fragrant mix of onions, spices, and rice. Wrapped in a banana leaf, it is then slow-baked to perfection, which allows the flavors to meld wonderfully.
Based on our valued customer experiences in the UK, we are excited to introduce the following additions to our Lamprais.
- Special Yellow Rice
- Mutton Kurma
- Tandoori Chicken
- Brinjol (Eggplant)
- Pineapple Curry
